Robert (Bob) Leroy Weaver, 65
Robert (Bob) Leroy Weaver, 65, was born in Tulare, Calif., to Charles and Elaine Weaver. Bob passed away after a very courageous battle with cancer.
Bob graduated from Tulare Union High School, CSU Chico and earned a master’s degree in sociology at the University of the Pacific. Bob served in the Vietnam War in active duty. Bob worked for the California Youth Authority as a youth counselor and was promoted to a parole agent from which he retired in 2002. Bob was the CYA Dewitt Nelson Chapter President of the CCPOA and served on the CCPOA State Board of Directors. Bob served on the Lodi Unified School District School Board for 12 years.
Bob was very active in little league; serving as a coach for many years. Bob was active up until his passing in the American Legion, Lions Club, the Republican Party, Eagles and also served as the local Chamber of Commerce vice president. Bob was working as a local Realtor in Idaho for SKE Realtors until just a few weeks ago. Bob loved living in Idaho the past few years. Bob loved his three sons and they meant the world to him.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Debbie. Bob is survived by sons, Robert, Chris and Alex; his sister, Marsha Shannon; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Bob was truly loved and will be missed. Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at the Lions Club (corner of Highway 53 and Meyer Road in Rathdrum). A Celebration of Life will follow the memorial at 3 p.m. at Kelsey’s, 13785 W. Highway 53 No. 7, Rathdrum.
