Finch named principal of Genesis Prep Academy

POST FALLS - Chris Finch was recently named the new principal at Genesis Prep Academy, a K-12 Christian school in Post Falls.

Finch, who moved here from Lodi, Calif., in July, has more than 10 years of experience in teaching and administration in Christian education.

One of his goals is to integrate technology in the classroom.

At Century Christian School in Lodi, Finch helped lead a team of parents and teachers to be the first school in the Central Valley to have iPad technology in every classroom and an iPad for every student in the sixth through eighth-grades.

"I believe the next 10 years in education will be some of the most exciting and innovative that we have experienced in a long time," Finch said. "Genesis has always had incredible kids, fantastic families and outstanding teachers. Now, with infusion of 21st Century technology we will be able to better fulfill our mission of preparing students for a life of success for God's glory."

Genesis, which has leased space at Real Life Ministries since 2006, has 142 students and 21 staff members.

The school's previous principal, Marc Goodwin, died unexpectedly and suddenly at 52 last spring.
