OBAMA: Battling others' burdens
My, but how easily we forget past elections. Mr. Obama is correct as he reiterates often that he was left with all the past issues by the former Bush gang. Mr. Clinton left a legacy of many millions in U.S. coffers, and when the Bush administration came into power these monies were wiped out with very few months.
I think Mr. Obama is being quite kind in accusing the former “Big Boys” of handing down their problems to this group, who have attempted to fix these problems, all to no avail. Maybe if we had a Congress that was cooperative, no matter what party they represented, then a few things would be accomplished, instead of stagnating.
I remember Mr. Truman calling his Congress the Do Nothing Congress, and this present one is exactly that. For shame.
No wonder Mr. Obama is under fire lots of times — he can’t do everything on his own. He needs cooperation.
Let’s get something accomplished and move on.
