Cd'A Sunrise Rotary kicks
off fundraiser
The Coeur d'Alene Sunrise Rotary is kicking off a fundraiser to support Rotary's PolioPlus fund to eradicate the crippling childhood disease.
The club will be offering a quilt made at the Mzansi Zulu Quilt Center in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa. Tickets are $5 each.
Since 1995, the Sunrise Rotary has donated $18,502 to the PolioPlus fund. Members hope to raise $2,000 this year.
In 2009, Michelle Fink, past president of the Sunrise club, traveled to India to participate in a Rotary-sponsored National Immunization Day.
"The feeling of knowing that I had a small part of India becoming polio free is amazing," she said. "The commitment of Rotary to free the world of polio makes me proud to call myself a Rotarian."

The Coeur d'Alene Rotary Club meets 7 a.m. Tuesdays at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
