BOISE (AP) - A 30-year-old Nampa woman was sentenced to two to five years in prison after her 1-year-old son nearly drowned when she left him and a 4-year-old alone in the bathtub.
Third District Judge Molly Huskey sentenced Stefanie Jolene Antrim on Monday for felony injury to a child.
Antrim was charged in April after she left her children unattended in the tub while she went outside to smoke a cigarette. She returned to the 4-year-old calling for help because the baby was face down in the water and turning blue.
Antrim called 911 and the child was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Court records say Antrim had also been drinking.
Antrim faces a DUI charge filed in September after she allegedly drove to visit her children while intoxicated.
