Ryan Bailey joins Paychex, Inc. as a sales consultant

Paychex, Inc., a provider of payroll, human resource, and benefits outsourcing solutions for small- to medium-sized businesses including the Coeur d'Alene area, announced that Ryan W. Bailey has joined the company as the sales consultant for the Inland Northwest region.

Bailey will be responsible for prospecting of new clients, presenting and educating businesses about payroll products and services, and building partnerships within the banking and accounting communities.

Prior to joining Paychex, Bailey worked for The American Cancer Society as a community relationship manager, where he was responsible for coordinating Relay for Life events and other fundraisers for ACS.

Bailey holds a bachelor's degree in social science from Washington State University. At Washington State, Bailey was a member of the Washington State men's basketball team, where he helped lead the team to two consecutive NCAA appearances in 2007 and 2008.

Cd'A chamber's Business After Hours set for Thursday

The Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce's Business After Hours is 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday at Wild West Rustic Home Furnishings, 400 W. Clayton Ave.

There will be food, beverages and prizes.

Business After Hours is a networking event and opportunity for members to show off their offices or facilities. They are held on the fourth Thursday of each month.

It is considered a great way to meet other chamber members in a more casual atmosphere.

Hanna & Associates gets American Gaming Association award

Hanna & Associates, a Coeur d'Alene marketing communications firm, recently earned a national award from the American Gaming Association at its 12th annual VOICE competition held Oct. 3 in Las Vegas. Hanna won for "Best Website" on behalf of its client, Northern Quest Resort & Casino in Spokane.

"It's an incredible honor to receive, especially given the fierce competition at this event," said Hanna & Associates CEO and President Dayne G. Hanna.

Hanna beat out entries from a number of top U.S. marketing and advertising agencies, including DDB New York, Red Square Agency, and Rubin Postaer and Associates.

The competition included submissions for: MGM Resorts International, Bally's Corporation and Mandalay Bay Resort.
