CLIFF: One terrific forecast

Dear Cliff: Several years ago, I wrote a not so nice letter to the editor complaining about your weather forecast for the North Idaho Fair, and the impact it might have on those planning to attend.

With Chris retiring this year, I would be remiss in not sending another letter thanking you for the great job you do with your weekly column, and your annual support of the North Idaho Fair and Rodeo. The weather during fair week has been pretty good over the last several years, and this year was your finest effort yet. Those who attended the fair enjoyed some of the most beautiful days of the summer with almost perfect temperatures and cloudless days and nights. (A few degrees warmer in the evening would be a plus.)

If you can order up the same for next year’s fair, I’m sure Dane (the new fair manager), his staff, and all fairgoers will be very grateful.
