PROPS: Teacher yes, thug no
I’ve been called many things before, but not a THUG. I’m usually called mom, grandma, Chris, but most often, Mrs. Inlow, and that’s because I’m a teacher in Coeur d’Alene, where “children have always come first.”
Last year more than 70,000 signatures were gathered from voters that were against the education reform that Luna pushed through the legislature. Voters didn’t like the “lunatic reform” then, and I believe that if you knew the truth about these reforms you would definitely vote NO on Nov. 6.
First of all, most public school teachers are members of the union. As public employees we are not allowed to arbitrate for our working conditions like a private citizen can when they are hired. Firefighters and police officers belong to these same professional unions. Do you believe firefighters and police officers are thugs, too, or are we all here to provide vital services to our community?
Please think, “Why do politicians want to silence teachers’ voices?” Teachers are advocates for students and their needs. We are in the classroom daily with your children, yet politicians want you to believe we’re the bad guys, our union is bad, and that giving a laptop to every high school student is the answer. It’s a slippery slope when politicians start taking our freedoms away.
Be informed, go to www.votenoprop123.com and find out for yourself about these reforms. I am confident that you will join concerned parents and educators across our state and vote NO on props. 1, 2 and 3.
