OBAMA: Leading world from behind

| October 17, 2012 9:00 PM

Contrary to what the American people were promised in the 2008 presidential campaign by “The Great Unifier,” America’s standing in the world as a world power and as an influence on world affairs is at its lowest point since the Carter administration.

President Obama withdrew troops from Iraq too quickly, and the U.S. void is being filled by more violent Islamic extremists.

Iran has threatened to shut down the Straight of Hormuz. Not to mention that Iran is on the threshold of becoming a nuclear power. Iran’s leaders have openly vowed to wipe Israel off the map, and they openly assist terrorist organizations Hezbollah and Hamas in their jihads against Israel and the West.

President Obama’s foreign policy strategy of leading from behind has caused region-wide unrest in the Middle East and North Africa. Obama encouraged and materially supported the “Arab Spring.” Now those revolutionaries are creating some of the most oppressive dictatorships in the world, imposing Sharia Law, crucifying Coptic Christians, rioting in the streets, attacking and burning U.S. embassies, and even killing American citizens and the U.S. Ambassador to Libya. The Obama administration then spent the next two weeks trying to tell the world that the violence was due to an online video, not Obama’s failed policies.

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, said it best. When asked about President Obama’s foreign policy on Fox News the other night, Bolton replied, “He doesn’t have one.”
