Benner, a freshman from Post Falls High, was listed on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for his efforts during the reporting period ending Oct. 7. In a 2-1 double overtime win over Norwich University, Benner made seven saves in the conference win on Oct. 6 over the Cadets. Benner has made nine appearances with eight starts and has a 0.9 goals against average along with a .850 save percentage, allowing nine goals with a pair of shutouts in just over 894 minutes played.

Montana women's basketball

Baker, a senior from Coeur d'Alene who went to Coeur d'Alene Charter and played basketball at Lake City High, was a unanimous first-team preseason All Big Sky Conference selection by College Sports Madness. Baker averaged a team-high 15 points and 7.2 rebounds last year and averaged 22.2 points and 8.8 rebounds in Montana's final five games - reaching 1,000 points for her career late in their quarterfinal loss to Montana State in the 2012 Big Sky tournament in Pocatello.
