NIC volleyball team on the road

The North Idaho College volleyball team, ranked sixth in this week's NJCAA poll, travel to Snow College tonight to resume Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

NIC (15-2, 3-2 SWAC) beat Snow (12-6, 2-3) in four games on Sept. 22 at Christianson Gym.

The Cardinals will conclude the road trip on Saturday at fifth-ranked Salt Lake (19-4, 4-1).

Earlier this year, then No. 1 NIC lost to Salt Lake in five games at home for its first loss of the season.

Southern Idaho (20-1, 5-0), which is ranked third, travels to Coeur d'Alene next Friday night.

NIC middle blocker Brittany Chilcott was named the conference player of the week after totaling 16 kills in wins at Utah State-Eastern and Colorado Northwestern last weekend.
