Marie Anderson, 94

Marie Anderson, loving mother to Julie McCallum (Bob), Tom Anderson and Jerry Anderson (Cindy), died peacefully of natural causes on Oct. 9, 2012. She was born near Coulee City, Wash., in 1918 and moved with her family to St. Maries in 1923.

By 1953 she was a wife and mother and she moved with her husband Lloyd (d. 1978) and their three children to Coeur d’Alene. She was active in St. Thomas parish as a Catholic Daughter and regularly volunteered at Coeur d’Alene Homes. She loved baked bread, long brisk walks, evenings at Silver Beach and gatherings with her children and extended family. We cannot forget her gentle reminders to use correct grammar, sit up straight and to remove your hat in the house.

Although she has left us we do not cry for her because she is in heaven. We cry because we miss her consistent presence and motherly love.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at St. Thomas Church with a reception following. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity in her name.
