Floyd Martin Bleeker, 86
Floyd Martin Becker, 86, of Post Falls, passed away Oct. 9, 2012. He was born Jan. 9, 1926, to Gerritt and Minnie Bleeker on the family homestead, at the foot of the Snowy Mountains in Montana.
Floyd married the love of his life, Louise Beauchot, in Harlowton, Mont., in 1947. This is where they raised their three children. He worked as a sheep rancher and later a skilled mechanic retiring from the U.S. Forest Service in 1992. He could fix anything and was a World War II Veteran. Floyd enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family in the mountains of Idaho and Montana. Later in life you would often find him watching Westerns and playing video games. His favorite word was “Whatever.”
Floyd was preceded death by his wife, Louise, whom he lovingly cared for through her lengthy illness. He is survived by Teresa (Dave) Wickes of Post Falls; granddaughter Tanya (Scott) Conner; great-granddaughter Meagan, Jeff (Carol) Bleeker; granddaughter Simone and Greg (Cherie) Bleeker, both of Billings, Mont.
Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice. Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls, with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
