COEUR d'ALENE - Lewis-Clark State College Coeur d'Alene is holding "Transfer Day" on Wednesday to encourage prospective students to register with the college.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Idaho College Student Union Building. Give-aways and prizes will be available for inquiring students.

The college is offering discounted application fees ($10) for the first 10 students to apply. The regular cost is $35.
The college will have advisers at NIC to help answer questions regarding the college's 16-degree programs.
Red Ribbon national contest to be held
The National Family Partnership, founder of Red Ribbon Week - touted as the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the nation - has partnered with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency to host a national contest later this month.
The 27th annual Red Ribbon Week takes place Oct. 23-31, and families have a chance to win a $1,000 grant for their school and a new iPad for their home.
To participate in the contest families and students will decorate the front of their homes with this year's message: "The Best Me Is Drug Free."
Contest guidelines can be found online, www.redribbon.org/contest.
