Donovan Fetzer, 48

| October 9, 2012 9:00 PM

A dearly loved friend, son, and father, Donovan “Donny” Fetzer made his trip home to Heaven in the early afternoon of Oct. 5, 2012. Donovan, born May 13, 1964, in Bismarck, N.D. spent nearly all of his childhood in Coeur d’Alene on Ichabod Lane.

Donovan graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1982 and spent the majority of his adult life in Hayden. He attended college pursuing his true passion of art and left behind artwork that made it around the world thanks to his online business. He was an intelligent man seeming to absorb every piece of knowledge that he came across and sharing it with anyone who would listen.

A battle with a rare cancer called multiple myeloma allowed him to spend his last days with his daughter and his mother by his side.

He is survived by: his mother Mary Button; his daughter Kendall Fetzer; his sister Leta Thomas; and his brother Cory Fetzer.

He was the strongest man to walk the earth and death didn’t dare touch him until he said so. His spirits were high and joyful until the very end and he will be greatly missed.

Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses and staff at Kootenai Medical Center, as well as all of the family and friends who helped to make Donovan’s last days that much better.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Peace Lutheran Church, 8134 N. Meyer Road, in Post Falls.

English Funeral Chapel, of Post Falls, has been entrusted to handle final arrangements. Please visit Donny’s online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
