Christian Mallon, 19

| October 9, 2012 9:00 PM

Christian Nicholas Mallon, 19 of Hayden, passed away Sept. 29, 2012. Christian was born on Nov. 14, 1992, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to mother, Nicole Mallon and father, Jason Buquet, who deserted Christian when he was two and his unborn sister on Dec. 18, 1994.

Christian grew up in Colorado Springs, Colo., with his mother Nicole and sister. They moved to Hayden in 1998 and found out he had a brother on the way. Christian lived with his family until he passed away. He was the first of three children born by his mother.

He left behind his mother Nicole Mallon, younger sister, younger brother and step-father, Luis Saenz, his wife Taylor Rae Hall and their baby due Oct. 29, 2012. Her name will be Kaelynn Mallon. He also left behind his grandmother Vahona Walta, from Colorado Springs, and grandfather, Lonnie Gerber, also from Colorado Springs.

He was raised in a Christian home, attended church youth groups and Christian camps regularly until recently.

He loved to help people and he was very protective of his family. He always tried to help and looked after his brother and sister. He wanted to not make the same mistakes that he made, he deeply regretted his decisions and was always harder on himself than anyone else ever could have been on him.

He met his wife at a support group the middle of June 2010. Married December 9, 2010, in Coeur d’Alene.

Unfortunately, Christian and Taylor were unable to live together due to financial problems. Christian was excited to be a new Dad. He was anxious to meet his daughter.

Christian was an exceptional artist and writer. He was working on writing a book. He loved being with family, friends, outdoors, food and music.

His favorite spot was down Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive, before Higgens Point; they called it their secret spot where his mother took the family since he was five years old.

This is where he chose to end his life and to tell us goodbye because he was unable to call his mother who he called all the time. They were best friends.

Not long ago he was planning to start community college. He was wait listed to start an excellent welding program.

A Memorial (Celebration of Life) Service will be held at Yates Funeral Home, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, 83835, at 3 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 11, 2012.
