Cardinals return to SWAC volleyball play tonight
The North Idaho College Cardinals volleyball team, ranked sixth in this week's NJCAA poll, will hit the road again in Scenic West Athletic Conference play this week.
NIC (13-2, 1-2 SWAC) travels to Rangely, Colo., tonight to face Colorado Northwestern (0-15, 0-3).
The Cardinals conclude the trip at Utah State-Eastern Utah (10-10, 1-2) on Saturday in Price, Utah.
Southern Idaho (18-1) is third, Salt Lake (18-4) fifth and Snow College (12-5) 20th in this week's poll.
NIC president to speak
at booster club meeting
COEUR d'ALENE - North Idaho College president Joe Dunlap will speak at the NIC booster club luncheon on Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
He will speak on "The Value of Athletics."
The public is welcome to attend the luncheon, but the cost of lunch is not covered.
The club meets on the second and last Tuesday of the month at noon.

Spokane sets dates for
open mini-camps
SPOKANE - The Spokane Shock will host two open mini-camps in search of new players for the 2013 Arena Football League season with the first in Spokane on Dec. 8.
Cost is $100 at the registration table prior to participating in the workout and is non-refundable and only cash or money order will be accepted.
The other camp will be held in Dallas on Jan. 12.
The workouts will consist of testing in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, and broad jump. Shock staff will also run positional drills and 1-on-1s after running and performance drills are completed.
