NILSON: A job very well done
I met Ron Nilson about three years ago and have seen what a man dedicated to God and North Idaho can accomplish. He has devoted an enormous amount of energy and money to see that the Boys and Girls Club got developed. Then he turned around and made certain we can have our young girls and boys learn a trade that will support them for the rest of their lives. He was certainly the driving force behind the KTEC program that is now in full bloom just south of Rathdrum.
He told me he had to go to southeast Idaho to find welders for his company, Ground Force. He stated they could make up to $60,000 a year with his company. Well, he can look no further now than here in Kootenai County. We will be producing productive wage earners who will learn here and stay here.
I am not certain where this type of guy comes from, but we can use a lot more to help us in our small part of the world. Good job and thanks for all your efforts, Ron.
