FIRE: Time to support NLFD

This letter is specifically written for the residents of Rathdrum, Hayden, Hayden Lake, Garwood, Twin Lakes, Rathdrum Prairie and the Hoyt Ranch area which make up the Northern Lakes Fire District. We would like you to become better informed on the health of your Fire District and the strategic plan we have developed to improve emergency services. Find out why funding this plan is critical for the best care of you and your loved ones by attending one of four community meetings in your neighborhoods or a tour of the District which is open to both media and residents.

We are proposing a permanent override levy Nov. 6 to fund the strategic plan. There are many opportunities to hear and see what supporting the plan will provide and learn what may change if we don’t get the support necessary. It is imperative that you step up for your fire District. We have been there for you during your time of need, now we need you there for us.

We want to hear your voice. Ask the tough questions. Vote with knowledge. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held Oct. 10 at Station 5 at Mokins Bay; Oct. 11 at Station 3 in Garwood; Oct. 24 at Station 2 in Rathdrum; and Oct. 25 at Station 1 in Hayden.
