Virginia Lea Walker, 78

Virginia Lea Walker died from pneumonia at Kootenai Medical Center on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012. She was born Oct. 25, 1933, in Coeur d’Alene and was the daughter of Daniel W. Werts and Frances M. Fouts.

She was married to Bruce Walker for 62 years and is survived by children, Bonnie Burnett and husband Jonathan Burnett, Mike Walker and wife Jane Walker, Cheri Rausch and husband Dennis Rausch, Dennis Walker and wife Cindy Walker; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Virginia loved her friends and family — she knew her life could change in a day. She said, “never put off your friends and family. There is nothing more valuable than your relationship with God and your friends and family.”
