SPOKANE - North Idaho College golfer Chelsea Porter backed up Saturday's 87 with an 85 to finish tied for 15th at the 2-day Whitworth Invitational held Sunday and Monday at the Spokane Country Club.

NIC finished tied for fifth at the 9-team event.

"We just didn't put it all together today," NIC coach Derrick Thompson said. "(Chelsea) Porter played really well, and I believe she shot the lowest 36-hole (172) score of her career."

Former Lakeland standout Chelsey Bayley shot an 84 for Whitworth, and tied for 11th place.
