NIC women fifth after first day

SPOKANE - North Idaho College's women's golf team is in fifth place out of seven teams after Sunday's first day of the Whitworth Invitational at the Spokane Country Club.

For NIC, Arlee Coleman shot 82 and is tied for 10th, Chelsea Porter shot 87, Jennie Williams 88, Madi Hauck 99, Hannah Keogh 109.

Chelsea Bayley of Whitworth, formerly of Lakeland High, also shot 82 and is tied for 10th.

Whitman leads with a 316, followed by Whitworth (326), Willamette (331), Warner Pacific (354), NIC (356), Linfield (361) and Puget Sound (426). The tourney concludes today.
