Aug. 20, 1994 - Oct. 24, 2012

James Winzer went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, as a result of an automobile accident in Coeur d’Alene. James was born Aug. 20, 1994, in Simi Valley, Calif., to Carl and Judy Winzer.

When James was 7, the family moved to North Idaho settling in the Mica Flats area. James attended Winton Elementary, Charter Academy and was a senior at Lake City High School. He was involved in the International Baccalaureate program, where he excelled. James loved playing on the football and wrestling teams and weight lifting with his friend. James enjoyed playing the piano and was proud to have dedicated his life to Christ, in July 2004.

James’ mother describes him as tender hearted, loving and dedicated. He had many friends, and was known to help anyone, at any time. James loved, and was very protective of his sisters and loved being the only brother.

James is survived by his mother, Judy Winzer of Coeur d’Alene; his father, Carl; stepmother Sue Winzer; stepsister, Kate of Mica Flats; and three older sisters, Kira (Jeremy and nephew Trenton) Deweber of Rainier, Ore., Sara Winzer and Rebecca Winzer, both of Moscow.

James was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Alma Howell, and Carl Sr. and Laverne Winzer.

James was buried on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, in a private family service. A memorial service is being held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Lake City Community Church, 6000 Ramsey Road, Coeur d’Alene.

Your presence at this memorial is gift enough for James and his family.
