Philip Humber won for the first time since throwing a perfect game in April, and the Chicago White Sox extended their winning streak to seven games by beating the Tampa Bay Rays 7-2 on Tuesday night in St. Petersburg.
Hideki Matsui homered in his Tampa Bay debut. The Rays purchased the 2009 World Series MVP's contract from Triple-A Durham before the game.
Humber (2-2) was 0-2 with an 8.22 ERA over six starts since his gem against Seattle on April 21. The right-hander allowed two runs and five hits over seven innings Tuesday.
Royals 8, Indians 2: Mike Moustakas had a career-high four RBIs to help rookie Will Smith get his first major league win as visiting Kansas City beat Cleveland.
Blue Jays 8, Orioles 6: Brett Lawrie had three hits and three RBIs and Ricky Romero won for the seventh time in nine starts as Toronto beat visiting Baltimore.
Red Sox 6, Tigers 3: David Ortiz homered and hit two doubles as Boston moved over .500 for the first time this season, beating visiting Detroit.
Twins 3, Athletics 2: At Minneapolis, Josh Willingham hit a three-run homer in ninth inning as Minnesota beat Oakland.
Angels 5, Yankees 1: At Anaheim, Albert Pujols and Mark Trumbo homered and Dan Haren pitched into the eighth as Los Angeles beat visiting New York.

Cubs 5, Padres 3: Alfonso Soriano homered and Jeff Samardzija struck out eight in seven innings as Chicago defeated visiting San Diego.
Reds 8, Pirates 1: Jay Bruce had three hits and Todd Frazier drove in two runs as Cincinnati beat host Pittsburgh.
Mets 6, Phillies 3: Jeremy Hefner earned his first victory in the majors and homered for his first big league hit as New York beat visiting Philadelphia.
Braves 5, Cardinals 4: Dan Uggla hit a three-run homer and Michael Bourn also went deep as Atlanta snapped an eight-game skid, beating visiting St. Louis.
Marlins 3, Nationals 1: Anibal Sanchez allowed only an unearned run in seven innings as Miami broke the franchise record for wins in a month, beating visiting Washington.
Brewers 2, Dodgers 1: Ryan Braun hit a two-run homer in the first inning as visiting Milwaukee beat Los Angeles.
Giants 3, Diamondbacks 1: Melky Cabrera got his 50th hit of the month and Buster Posey drove in two runs as San Francisco defeated visiting Arizona.
