Jovina Kelly, 57

Jovina Faye “JoJo” Kelly, 57, of Coeur d’Alene, died at her Coeur d’Alene home early Sunday morning, May 6, 2012. Jovina was born April 6, 1955, in Boise to Darrell Welsh and LaRue Blakley Rose. She grew up in Boise, graduating from Meridian High. She married Jerry Michael Kelley on May 12, 1972, in Boise.

She was a homemaker who had survived a variety of surgeries over the years. She was a loving wife and mother. Her hobbies included crafts, gardening, talking with people, camping, attending ballgames, bowling, painting, garage sales, antique collecting and serving as a dorm mother for church camps. She enjoyed watching her husband and boys play sports, and she loved children. Jovina was a member of Hayden Bible Church and enjoyed attending ladies’ Bible studies.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry at the family home; children, Kerri Altig of Vallejo, Calif., Mike Kelly of Vallejo, Pat Kelly of Iowa and Tim Kelly of Coeur d’Alene; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Kelly; her mother, LaRue Rose; brothers, Jeff Welsh of Oakridge, Ore., and Steve Rose and Mark Rose of Boise; a sister, Sherry Schroeder of Cascade; a granddaughter, Rachael Altig of Sacramento, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
