McHUGH: Most qualified candidate

Everyone in Kootenai County deserves a safe, family-friendly community — a community where our children can enjoy a bright future. I know a man who works tirelessly to make that happen. Let me tell you why we should all band together to vote for Barry McHugh on May 15.

Through his inspired leadership and service as our elected Prosecuting Attorney, Barry McHugh has done more for the protection and the good of our community than anyone in a long time.

I have known Barry as an attorney and as a friend for many years. He truly is a man of honor and dedication to the cause. There is no one I trust more, and I cannot imagine a more capable leader.

To be perfectly candid, Barry is our only qualified candidate. Compare his 18 years of prosecution experience at city, county, state and federal levels with his opponent’s complete lack of prosecution experience. This elected position is too important to entrust to someone who would have to learn on the job.

Barry McHugh has earned our support during these past years in which he has honorably served us. He has lived in our community most of his life, and is committed to continue serving as a wise and equitable steward on behalf of our community. Anyone who truly understands the big picture will vote for Barry. He’s clearly the man for the job.
