Online poll: Plenty of blame for gas prices

This time, at least, readers of The Press and Dave Oliveria's Huckleberries blog at spokesman.com agree — or come pretty close, anyway.

Both sites asked readers the same question over the weekend: Who do you blame most for high gas prices? And here's where readers put their feet down on the gas pedal of opinion:

President Obama: Press, 43 percent (588 votes); Spokesman, 37 percent (78 votes)

U.S. oil companies: Press, 43 percent (596 votes); Spokesman, 43 percent (91 votes)

Arab oil companies: Press, 9 percent (122 votes); Spokesman, 12 percent (26 votes)

Consumers: Press, 5 percent (70 votes); Spokesman, 8 percent (18 votes)
