Dennis Barney Coe, 73

Dennis Barney Coe, 73, passed away at Life Care Center in Post Falls on March 12, 2012. Dennis was born Jan. 24, 1939, in Spokane to Harvey L. and Ruth (Barney) Coe.

He graduated from Deer Park High School in Deer Park, Wash., where he enjoyed playing baseball for the high school team.

Dennis married his wife, Sherry Arthur on May 6, 1967, in Vancouver, Wash. He served in the U.S. Army, graduated from Eastern Washington University and worked as a social worker for the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. He retired in 1998 after 31 years of service.

During his retirement, Dennis spent a lot of time on the various hobbies he enjoyed. Dennis played the guitar, loved to ride motorcycles, enjoyed bird watching, was an amateur photographer, was an avid ham radio operator, was a collector of watches and liked technology in general.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Sherry of Post Falls; his son, Michael of Boise; and his two sisters, Connie Jackson of Clarkston, Wash., and Bonnie Osburn of Yakima, Wash. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Ruth Coe.
