Rathdrum Police offer medicine turn-in unit

RATHDRUM - Rathdrum police have set up a medicine turn-in unit in the lobby of its station to allow residents to dispose of their unused or unwanted prescription drugs.

The unit is available 24-7.

The box cost $895 and was purchased with unexpended donated DARE funds.

Residents should not flush their medicine down the toilet as it harms the water supply.
