PF Council to hear urban renewal report

POST FALLS - The Post Falls City Council will hear a report on the Urban Renewal Agency's fiscal 2011 audit from Tom Lien, the agency's director, on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

The meeting was changed to Wednesday due to tonight's Republican caucuses.

In other business, the council will hear a report from police Capt. Greg McLean, who recently graduated from the FBI Academy, and is expected to approve a bid from the Post Falls Community Volunteers to operate the beer garden at Post Falls Days.

Wine-tasting event, auctions to benefit Tesh

COEUR d'ALENE - A wine-tasting event will benefit the nonprofit Tesh on March 22 from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Parkside Event Center, 601 E. Front, Coeur d'Alene.

There will also be live and silent auctions and raffles. Music will be provided by Ed Graves and Kelly Dunne.

Cost is $20.

Hay growers workshop March 20 in Worley

WORLEY - University of Idaho Extension will present the North Idaho Hay Growers Workshop on March 20 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Worley Grange Hall.

The workshop will feature University of Idaho and Washington State University extension experts addressing topics such as forage crop establishment, timothy hay production, weed management in forage crops, Idaho hay and forage update and hay production for horses.

Primeland Cooperatives, the Idaho Hay and Forage Association and the Kootenai Shoshone Farm Bureau are co-sponsoring the event, which will include lunch.

Participants are asked to register for the free workshop by March 16.
