'Footsteps: A Journey of Many' comes to NIC

| March 5, 2012 8:00 PM

North Idaho College is inviting the public to the free interactive exhibit "Footsteps: A Journey of Many" Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Edminster Student Union Building Lake Coeur d'Alene Room on NIC's main campus.

This is the first year North Idaho College has hosted an exhibit like "Footsteps: A Journey of Many," which is designed to help participants experience contemporary issues of social injustices firsthand.

Footsteps will take place in a large room that will be sectioned off into five sections. Each room is its own "exhibit" that will deal with unique topics chosen, researched and presented by different student groups, such as challenges faced by those living in third-world countries and sweatshops. These exhibits are designed to be intense and affect several senses.

Groups will be led through the free exhibit every half hour from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are encouraged. Reservations can be made online at www.nic.edu/footsteps.

"Footsteps: A Journey of Many" is designed for a mature, college-aged audience. High school students are welcome, but they should have permission from their parents if they are under the age of 18.
