Caucus basics: Where and when to vote
Doors open at 5 p.m. and voting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kootenai County GOP Caucus locations.
Caucus voters report to locations based on the precincts in which they reside and their normal election polling places.
The Kootenai County Republican Party's list of normal polling places, precinct numbers and matching caucus locations can be downloaded from this webpage.
A person must be an affiliated Republican voter to participate. Affiliation forms are available from local precinct committeemen, the county clerk's website or you can download and print an official form from this webpage.
Those wishing to affiliate prior to the caucus should bring their forms with them Tuesday to their caucus locations.
The Idaho law requiring voters to affiliate prior to voting in a primary election went into effect July 1.
Pat Raffee, Kootenai County Chief Deputy Clerk, told The Press the flow of affiliations being filed has steadily grown since last summer.
In the last month, 2,500 Kootenai County voters affiliated with a party. The majority of those affiliations were Republican.
