Brandon McCarthy showed no signs of an ailing shoulder in seven impressive innings, winning his third straight start and sixth consecutive decision to lead the Oakland Athletics past the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers 3-0 on Tuesday night.

Braves 4, Yankees 3: Jason Heyward singled home the go-ahead run in the sixth inning and Atlanta won at New York to end the Yankees' 10-game winning streak.

Indians 3, Reds 2, 10 inn.: Asdrubal Cabrera hit a two-run homer with one out in the 10th inning as Cleveland beat visiting Cincinnati.

Pirates 7, Twins 2: Andrew McCutchen had three hits, including his 12th homer of the season as Pittsburgh beat visiting Minnesota.

Tigers 6, Cardinals 3: Justin Verlander allowed one earned run in seven innings as Detroit beat visiting St. Louis.

Rays 5, Nationals 4: Carlos Pena hit a two-run homer and David Price bounced back from his worst start of the season to pitch seven strong inning as Tampa Bay won at Washington.

Mets 5, Orioles 0: Johan Santana pitched six sharp innings and Lucas Duda hit a two-run homer as New York beat visiting Baltimore.

Red Sox 7, Marlins 5: David Ortiz hit his 17th homer and Clay Buchholz won his fourth straight start as Boston beat visiting Miami for its fifth win in six games.

Royals 2, Astros 0: Luke Hochevar pitched into the eighth inning and Billy Butler hit a solo home run to lead Kansas City at Houston.

Cubs 2, White Sox 1: Travis Wood pitched six strong innings for his first win as the visiting Chicago Cubs beat the Chicago White Sox.

Blue Jays 10, Brewers 9: Colby Rasmus and Jose Bautista erased a one-run deficit with back-to-back home runs in the ninth inning as visiting Toronto beat Milwaukee.

Angels 12, Giants 5: At Anaheim, Calif., Albert Pujols hit a three-run homer, Mark Trumbo added a three-run triple while driving in five runs, and Mike Trout matched his career high with four hits as Los Angeles routed San Francisco.

Rangers 7, Padres 3: Josh Hamilton returned to the Texas lineup after missing four starts due to illness and hit a two-run triple to lead the Rangers at San Diego.
