ELECTION: Avoid the self-serving

| June 17, 2012 9:00 PM

Once again, back to the drawing board on our defense budget. Our Fearless Leader, currently occupying the White House, has decreed that the F-35 project should be scrapped because we “don’t need it.”

Why do we always need new weapon systems, anyway? We need new weapon systems because we give away the old weapon systems. We give them to our adversaries in order to say “Thank You” for campaign contributions. The secondary benefit is that it enables self-serving politicians to award defense contracts to those who have shown their loyalty to the proper self-serving politicians. This is the way of self-serving politicians. This modus operandi has become very popular in the last few election cycles. It is really quite a system.

All of us must pay for our mistakes one way or another. One of the severe mistakes always available to each of us is to vote for self-serving politicians. It is costly for all of us.

Yes, we need new weapon systems to replace those given to adversaries to make them strong. The F-35 is simply an example. What is the problem? Some call it treason!
