Signature rejection rate now 20 percent

This morning Kootenai County Clerk Cliff Hayes announced further progress on signature verifications for the Coeur d’Alene recall petitions.

Hayes said in a statement sent out by his office that workers have verified and checked roughly 40 percent of the three petitions, and the "cumulative rejection rate" is now running about 20 percent for the recall targets - Mayor Sandi Bloem and council members Deanna Goodlander, Mike Kennedy and Woody McEvers.
