CANYON: Come together for benefit

| June 15, 2012 9:00 PM

Every once in a while we get to help a great cause while having the time of our lives! This year, on Saturday, July 7 at 8:30 a.m. runners in our area will band together for the Jumpin’ Beans Adventure Relay to be held in Hayden Canyon.

The Hayden Canyon project has been the source of debate with some residents in the Coeur d’Alene area. Some fear the beauty and hiking trails of the canyon will not be available in the future. Fortunately for those who love the outdoors, Hayden Canyon will continue to offer trails for running, horseback riding, and hiking, even after the development project is a distant memory. Hayden Canyon’s owners have expressed a love of our community and a plan to keep Hayden Canyon’s natural trails available for people to enjoy.

Thanks to Hayden Canyon for allowing Jumpin’ Beans Mobile Food Bank to host a race in the most scenic and challenging relay race location in our area! For those adventurous souls who love to run, check out www.jumpinbeans.org.
