Laura J. Hill joined North Idaho College on July 16 as the executive director of human resources. She most recently served as the chief human resource officer of Rockwood Clinic in Spokane and brings with her more than 20 years of experience in human resource management in the Northwest.

“I am very excited to be joining the team at North Idaho College. I am very impressed with the people I have met and the energy here on campus,” Hill said. “My hope is to make positive contributions on campus, which will support employees and further the quality work that is currently taking place in the Human Resources Department.”

Hill spent the first nine years of her career in Seattle working in various human resources roles from insurance to high tech. She moved to Spokane and continued to work in human resources in social services for eight years before working for the Rockwood Clinic for six years.

Hill earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Montana and enjoys attending sports events with her husband, Chris, who is a high school science teacher, and their two children.
