Sell it at Consign Furniture

You can't miss the sign from the freeway - "Consign Furniture." However, the business in the former home of Beaudry Motorsports in central Post Falls is a bit tricky to get to. The address is 1525 E. Edmonton Ave., the parallel street on the north side of Interstate 90. Take the Seltice exit and then a combination of Syringa and Polston streets and you'll get there.

When you do, this place is quite interesting. The inventory is higher-end new, antique and used furniture (indoor and outdoor) and artwork as well as appliances and outdoor equipment. The interior of the place is awesome with high ceilings in a 23,000-square-foot set of entry showrooms, complete with a rock fireplace. Then it has back area bays and a rear building for the storage of marine and RV rigs.

Here's how it works: You can bring your stuff in or Consign Furniture will pick it up free. With a six-week contract you set high and low prices for a 50-50 split with the business.

Rustic Romance on Fourth

The 100-year-old house at 901 N. Fourth St. is quaint with small rooms, but it's been attractively renovated and now hosts Rustic Romance. The charming place has an interesting variety of items and pleasant aromas.

Here's how owner Wendy Burgener Wallin lists the inventory: "Wildcrafted and handcrafted organic and botanical gifts for your heart, home and garden such as herbs, dried flowers, nut body butters, soaps, bath oils, lotions, floral bath teas, botanical-themed aprons, dish towels, herbed soy candles and votives, spices, artisan water fountains, metal flower stakes, solar windchimes and lanterns, bird feeders, candle holders, journals, organic laundry products, bagged Irish teas, rustic furniture, box troughs and tree cookie coasters."

Whew! You wouldn't think the place would hold that much.

Originally from Seal Beach, Calif., she graduated from Cal Poly Tech University and had 26 years' experience in public relations and marketing. She discovered North Idaho while vacationing and moved here in 2004.

Motion Auto Supply opens Monday

With 206 E. Seltice Way, Post Falls, as the outlet, Motion Auto Supply will open its ninth store.

With retail and wholesale trade, Motion sells automotive and truck parts, accessories, tools and chemicals. Parent company Parts Wholesalers started in Spokane in 1994. The employee-owned company also has a store at 1225 E. Best Ave., Coeur d'Alene.

With six employees, Post Falls hours are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Phone 457-0340.

Paris Flea Marketdoubles

With the numbers of vendors continually growing, Paris Flea Market is now at 1815 N. Fourth St. and 823 N. Fourth. Hours in the Midtown outlet are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. It includes Alley Cat Coffee Co.
