Poll: Most don't want to put down their guns

The idea of restricting gun use on public lands when conditions create a high risk of fire doesn’t sit well with most Press readers.

Still, a large majority would be OK with telling shooters to leave their guns home when heading onto public lands during extreme dry conditions.

Here is how 852 Press readers responded when asked:

As wildfires blaze throughout the West, Utah officials are considering restricting gun use on public lands as dry conditions persist. Would you support such a ban in Idaho?
