Cruz, Rangers snap losing streak at five

Nelson Cruz hit an RBI double in the 10th inning to lead the Texas Rangers to a 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Saturday night at Arlington, Texas, snapping their five-game losing streak.

Angels 3, Orioles 0: At Anaheim, Calif., Jered Weaver scattered three hits over eight innings and Los Angeles blanked Baltimore.

Yankees 6-5, Red Sox 1-9: Pedro Ciriaco had three hits and three RBIs to help host Boston earn a doubleheader split with New York.

Andruw Jones hit two homers to lead the Yankees in the opener.

Tigers 8, Royals 7: Prince Fielder and Delmon Young both hit two-run homers and Detroit beat visiting Kansas City.

White Sox 2, Blue Jays 0: Kevin Youkilis hit a two-run homer and Chicago beat visiting Toronto.

Indians 7, Rays 3: Ubaldo Jimenez struck out eight over six innings and host Cleveland beat Tampa Bay.

Mets 3, Cubs 1: Dillon Gee pitched one-run ball for eight innings and host New York beat Chicago.

Reds 6, Padres 5: Drew Stubbs and Chris Heisey homered to lift Cincinnati at San Diego.

Diamondbacks 5, Dodgers 3: At Phoenix, Trevor Cahill pitched seven solid innings to help Arizona beat Los Angeles.

Braves 6, Phillies 3: Tommy Hanson pitched effectively into the eighth to lead Atlanta at Philadelphia.

Pirates 3, Giants 1: Mike McKenry homered and Pittsburgh beat visiting San Francisco.

Astros 6, Brewers 3: Scott Moore homered for the second straight day and Houston beat visiting Milwaukee.

Nationals 4, Rockies 1: Ian Desmond homered and Washington beat visiting Colorado.

Harper, Bourn added to All-Star roster: Bryce Harper and Michael Bourn are headed to the All-Star game after all.

Harper and Bourn were added to the NL roster for Tuesday's game in Kansas City after Miami's Giancarlo Stanton and Washington's Ian Desmond dropped out due to injuries. Both outfielders had lost to David Freese in online voting for one of the final spots.

The 19-year-old Harper, a budding star with the Washington Nationals, becomes the youngest position player in the history of the game and third youngest All-Star ever.
