FEDS: Adding insult to death
To the federal government, I think you are a piece of [excrement]! My father-in-law lived for 29 days in June and the first thing you think of doing is debiting his checking account for his June Social Security check. Thank you for overdrawing his account. Now do I have to go back to the following people to have them reimburse him for the care and bills he paid for June to pay the bank?
1. Sterling Insurance company for his health insurance for June so the hospital bills don’t get paid and then we will have huge balances at Kootenai Medical Center for the time he was there this month.
2. He was in my certified Medicaid home so he paid me room and board for the month.
3. His cost of share that he paid me for taking care of him. (Oh and may I add, I now have to pay back to Medicaid the money I was paid for the month.)
I would never have put him in a nursing home. He lived 12 years with us and I gave him 10 times better care than he would have received there and now not only am I suffering the loss of my best friend but you have devastated me with a loss of income. What shall I do first, plan a funeral for him or go get a job to pay my bills? I hate you, federal government.
