Chiropractic orthopedist Vancho receives 'President's Award'
Dr. Jim Vancho, chiropractic orthopedist, received the "President's Award" presented by the American College of Chiropractic Orthopedists in April 2012 in San Diego.
The college is an international organization dedicated to the advancement of the practice of non-surgical orthopedists. The orthopedists serve the general public as well as the insurance industry, the legal profession and the chiropractic profession as orthopedic consultants.
Vancho, who has been a member since 1984, serves as the secretary/2nd vice president. He has maintained a chiropractic practice in Post Falls since 1992. He also performs medical legal consulting services throughout the Northwest.

Spokane Teachers Credit Union announces three staff moves
Russell Palmer joins STCU as card services manager. Palmer most recently was customer service/telecommunications manager for the card/merchant processing division of Bank of America in Spokane. He is working toward a degree in finance from Washington State University.
Tracy Malley is becoming branch manager at the Spokane Valley Branch. Malley has been an STCU employee for 14 years, most recently as South Branch manager.
Brandy Schloss is becoming branch manager of our South Branch. A Spokane native, she began her STCU career as a loan officer 10 years ago and most recently was Branch Manager at STCU's Northtown Square Branch.
STCU is a member-owned, not-for-profit cooperative with 15 branches in Eastern Washington and North Idaho, more than 106,000 members and $1.6 billion in total assets.
Brumbach receives Academy
of General Dentistry award
The Academy of General Dentistry announced that Dr. Zach Brumbach of Coeur d'Alene received the association's 2012 Fellowship Award during the AGD 2012 annual meeting held June 21-24 in Philadelphia.
The Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. To accomplish this goal, Brumbach completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive exam, and fulfilled three years of continuous membership in the AGD.
"We are proud to honor Dr. Brumbach for his commitment to the profession," says AGD President Jeffrey M. Cole.
Brumbach graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2002 and currently practices at Brumbach Family Dentistry in Post Falls. He and his wife, Hope, have one child, Caleb.
Daugherty joins Jim Gray
Allstate Insurance Agency
Joyce Daugherty recently joined the Jim Gray Allstate Insurance Agency as a multi-line agent. She worked with a Coeur d'Alene insurance agency for the last 11 years. Daugherty is joining a team of agents that has helped the Jim Gray Allstate Agency earn the Premier Service Designation for the third consecutive year.
The Jim Gray Allstate Agency has been in Coeur d'Alene for 22 years and is at 1621 N. Third St. Suite 800.

Fourth annual 'B.Y.O. Putter' Putt Putt Golf Tournament is July 12
The Coeur d'Alene chamber's fourth annual "B.Y.O. Putter" Putt Putt Golf Tournament is July 12 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Parkside Towers.
Entry fee for the tournament is $25 and hole sponsorships are available for $100.
"This is an awesome way to network and have tons of fun at the same time," according to a press release. "You don't have to be a great golfer, this is a fun event for everyone. Just bring your own putter."

Idaho lawmakers seek to
extend grazing permits
TWIN FALLS (AP) - Two Idaho lawmakers are sponsoring legislation to extend the life of federal grazing permits from 10 to 20 years.
The bills have been introduced by U.S. Reps. Raul Labrador and Mike Simpson. They would affect grazing permits that are issued by agencies such as the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service.
Those agencies are working through a backlog of permit renewals.
The Times-News reports that Simpson is pursuing the changes through appropriations legislation for the Interior Department and the Environmental Protection Agency.
