COEUR d'ALENE - The visiting Post Falls Trojans got six pins and went on to beat the Coeur d'Alene Vikings 56-27 on Thursday night, the first dual victory for the Trojans over the Vikings since Jan. 28, 2003.

"I never like getting beat, but they've got a great, outstanding lineup," Coeur d'Alene coach Jeff Moffat said. "From 98 (pounds) to 182 is a murderer's row for them. We battled as hard as we could and are getting better for as young as we are."

Chadd Webster (126 pounds), Taylor Abbott (132), James Ost (145), Tyler Booth (152), Lucas Bolster (98) and Drake Foster (105) all had pins for Post Falls, which improves to 17-0 in duals this season.

"They're an outstanding team," said Moffat, whose Vikings won the last two state 5A championships. "We can't expect a miracle, but we battled our butt off. I don't see any reason why they can't win a state title this year."

Hudson Staub (138), Garrett DeMers, Dakota Groves (285) and A.J. Konda (113) won by pin for Coeur d'Alene.

Both teams will compete in the 12-team North Idaho Rumble starting today at 4:30 p.m. at Coeur d'Alene High and continuing Saturday at 9 a.m.

Finals are scheduled to begin Saturday around 3 p.m.
