Glen Campbell comes to Spokane

SPOKANE - Glen Campbell, one of the most beloved singers, songwriters and entertainers of his generation, with over 50 years in show business and 70 record albums to his name, is bringing his farewell tour to Northern Quest Resort & Casino, Saturday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m.

'Standing on the Rock' in March

COEUR d'ALENE - North Idaho Aglow International's annual spring retreat is scheduled March 23 and 24 at the Best Western Coeur d'Alene Inn.

Its theme is "Standing on the Rock."

Women of all faiths are welcome at the nondenominational gathering.

Cost is: $45 registration and optional banquet $30. Attendees may bring their husbands or teenagers to the meetings for free if registered in advance.

The retreat will feature Mellisa Gates, recording artist, author and minister anointed with a passion to reach hearts through music and worship.

NIC choral concert is tonight

North Idaho College will present its "Winter Choral Concert" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at the First Presbyterian Church in Coeur d'Alene.

The concert will feature performances by the NIC Chamber Singers and the NIC Cardinal Chorale. The featured work will be "Te Deum" by Dan Forrest. The Chamber Singers will be singing Renaissance motets in addition to the "Come to Me," a piece dedicated to one of the choir members, Roger Cardwell, who died in September 2011.

The concert is free and open to the public. The church is located at 521 Lakeside Avenue in Coeur d'Alene.
