MORMONS: Find out for yourself

| February 8, 2012 9:00 PM

Recently, Pastor Paul VanNoy wrote that he's concerned about the "blurry lines being created by LDS members" in presenting their views of the gospel. This implies that there's a new and sophisticated attack to beware of.

I can assure our community that neither the Church nor its members have created or devised any new "blurry lines" in sharing the gospel. We are simply doing our best to follow the Savior.

The New Testament records the account of Philip telling his brother Nathanael "we have found Him" referring to the promised Messiah. Being steeped in the traditions of the day, Nathanael was skeptical and said "Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?" Phillip responded by saying, "Come and See." John 1:46

This hasn't changed! The LDS church continues to follow this apostolic pattern. Our invitation remains the same as Phillip of old, "Come and See."

Come and See our worship services and programs to help the poor and the needy.

Come and see our Family History Center.

Come and See our missionaries and listen to their message.

Come and See why the Book of Mormon is such a vital testament that Jesus is the Christ.

Come and see our people and hear of their love for the Savior.

Is there "any good thing" in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? The only honest and logical way to find out is to, Come and See!
