Bunker Hill Mine in Kellogg sold

KELLOGG (AP) - Galena Mineral Resources Group is buying the long-closed Bunker Hill Mine in Kellogg, Idaho.

The company has signed an option to purchase 100 percent of the assets of the historic silver mine and plans to reopen it.

The purchase price was not revealed.

The Bunker Hill Mine opened in the 1880s and operated on a continuous basis until it shut down in 1991. Little exploration or development has been conducted since that time.
