Burglaries down, crackdown on red light runners underway

The Coeur d'Alene Police Department announced today that the department recorded 10 arrests and took 175 calls for service last weekend.

The arrests included five for driving while under the influence, an arrest for battery, two warrant arrests, a concealed weapons violation and one drug arrest.

The number of burglaries dropped to two from the previous weekend's 14 burglary reports. On the department's Facebook page, they thank citizens for reporting suspicious activity.

The department also advises a traffic emphasis on red light runners this week near the intersection of Kathleen Avenue and Ramsey Road.

Is there an intersection where you would like law enforcement officers to pay more attention to drivers who run red lights?
