NEWT: Food for election thought

| February 3, 2012 8:00 PM

Is Mr. Gingrich the best looking candidate for president? NO. The best personality? NO. The most talented singer, player, dancer, etc? NO. Does he have the most money? NO. Has he made mistakes in the past? YES. Has he been forthright and forgiven? YES. Does he believe in the USA we all love? YES. You only have to read his books, "Rediscovering God in America" and "To save America" to see a true American that wants restoration and could not only walk you through this country's history but represent it with dignity yet firmness to the world.

He represents the farmer with his freedom of choice to decide what to do with his own land and crop, the young person that deserves to be taught good work ethics and values, each citizen's choice to pursue the American dream whether as an entrepreneur or physical hardworking employee, the senior that worked hard and wants to be free to enjoy the benefits of his labor in retirement. Whether rich or poor, whatever race or church preference, you have a person who firmly believes in your freedom from government control and our country's unique foundation that is like no other country. He truly has one goal - to restore this country to its full spectrum for us balancing the role of government with our personal freedom and God-given rights. He has the dignity and manners and verbal command to represent us to the world that has been lacking and restore respect to our nation.

Just use wisdom in this selection apart from the obvious shallow popularity traits we tend to gravitate to.
