NRA: Message rings of truth

Having just listened to the address delivered by Wayne LaPierre of the NRA outlining how to truly protect our school children I must ask a question: If the states can pass laws in direct defiance of the federal government legalizing marijuana and the president responds to those laws stating his lack of intent to enforce federal law, then WHY do not our local and state officials enact laws based on common sense to protect our children?

Mr. LaPierre stated multiple obvious facts in his address. Two that stand out are; 1) these monsters who perpetrate horrendous crimes are cowards, choosing to attack the publicized unarmed and, 2) the ONLY thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

Our state and our local officials MUST act as free Americans and exercise constitutionally protected rights to protect the most innocent, vulnerable and precious among us.
