Emeralds walkoff with win

EUGENE, Ore. - Ronnie Richardson hit a two-run walkoff single to left field as the Eugene Emeralds beat the Spokane Indians 4-3 in Northwest League play on Thursday night in front of 3,886 at PK Park.

Spokane (16-22) has lost three straight games in the series, with Eugene (23-16) leading the West Division by a 1/2 game with one game to play - the regular-season finale vs. Spokane tonight at 7:05.

Smerling Lantigua hit a go-ahead two-run single with two out in the ninth inning to give Spokane a 3-2 lead.

Abel De Los Santos took the loss for Spokane to fall to 3-5 on the season.

Roman Madrid, who blew the save in the top of the ninth, got the win to improve to 7-0 on the season for Eugene.
